After many years of tilliing, mulching and fertilizing the adobe clay soil of Pleasanton I decided to try another method. I purchased a number of large pots and bags of potting soil and started planted my veggies in these. I have been continuing to refine the process and have no desire to go back to the old method. I plan to publish a number of steps that I have taken to automate the watering, fertilizing and recyle the used soil.
