How to avoid car break- ins in the Tri-Valley

In the suburban and safe Tri-Valley area many of us grow comfortable. We feel safe often thinking that no wrong can be done to us in our hometown. However, there are crimes of opportunity that can occur in the nicest of areas whether urban or suburban. 

At Rick’s Performance in Pleasanton one of our employees was a recent victim of opportunity crime at a public location in Livermore- proving crime does occur in our “neck of the woods.” This incident was a reminder that common sense and security are essential to our safety.  Below are 4 prevention reminders to keep you safe from opportunity crime. 1.      Don’t leave any valuables in sight. 40% of you don’t hide your valuables.

People try to break into people’s property when there is a reward for their risk.

2.      Always lock your car. 79% of you always do

3.      Park in a well lite and populated area. 47% percent of you don’t.

4.      Be aware of your surroundings and be cautious
