Huey Lewis Tribute Band Heading To Pleasanton

Heart of Rock and Roll will take the stage at the Firehouse Arts Center.

(City of Pleasanton)

From The City of Pleasanton: “The heart of rock and roll” comes to the Firehouse Arts Center Theater in downtown Pleasanton with two big shows to kick off the New Year. The award-winning Southern California tribute band of the same name is on stage Fri and Sat, Jan. 10 and 11, at 8 p.m.

The Heart of Rock and Roll production brings to life all the hits of the 80’s supergroup Huey Lewis & The News. The seven-man band delivers a non-stop musical journey in a colorful and high- energy concert that transports audiences back to the time when Huey and the boys dominated the charts and the world of music video.

With a front-man who bears an uncanny likeness to Huey, and a sound and style that has fooled more than a few fans, the band revisits all the big hits with a set list that includes The Power of Love, I Want a New Drug, Heart & Soul, The Heart of Rock & Roll, and a lot more. Throughout the ‘80s, Huey Lewis & the News created many of the slick, catchy, good-times tunes that defined the decade. The San Francisco-based pop/rock band eventually achieved 19 top-ten singles on the Billboard charts. And the Heart of Rock & Roll is still beating. Tickets: Reserved seating tickets are $25 - $35.
