Human Bones Found on Dublin Canyon Road Possibly Identified
Officials said the person found could be John Brown or Thomas Brown, a local transient.

Deputies say they have possibly identified the human bones found on Sunday in the area by Dublin Canyon Road.
In a statement, Sgt. Scott Dudek said the person could be John Brown or Thomas Brown, a transient who had been living in the Dublin Canyon Road area.
He was known as Blanket John or Plastic John because people always found him covered with those items. He was last seen six to ten years ago. Brown would have been 66-years-old today.

Sgt. J.D. Nelson, spokesperson for the department, said the hiker called to report the find, and deputies responded at about 3 p.m. to the 11000 block of Dublin Canyon Road. Nelson said the bones were found in a wooded area on private property.
A coroner called to the scene confirmed that the bones were in fact human and probably those of a male. Deputies found other bones scattered nearby, as well as pieces of clothing.
While investigators believe that the remains are of Brown, they are also trying to find family members to confirm the identity through DNA or dental records.
