Kicking the Grinch out of Christmas by helping Tri Valley Haven

Mueller’s Tri-Valley ATA Black Belt Academy is spreading holiday cheer by hosting a giving tree in the lobby of their martial arts studio. For the last four weeks students have been bringing in unwrapped gifts to place under the tree and on Monday, they delivered the gifts to Tri-Valley Haven. The prospect of bringing holiday cheer to families who are struggling has lead to their Pleasanton Downtown Christmas parade slogan of “Kicking the Grinch out of Christmas!”

Tri Valley Haven helps adults and children who have experienced domestic violence and also provides shelters for many homeless in the Tri-Valley area. Tri Valley Haven is still in great need of new, unwrapped, donations for adults, teens, children and infants.

Baby Items Needed (ages 0-3 years): Developmental toys, playmats, musical toys, push toys, riding toys, baby bouncers, activity seats, and car seats.

Children’s Items Needed (3-12 years): Art supplies, small ride on toys, Spanish learning toys, skateboards with helmets and pads, scooters, radio controlled toys, sports gear, baby dolls, and warm clothing such as pajamas and coats.

Teenage Items Needed(13 & up): Hoodies, bedroom decor, sports equipment, sports team merchandise, blankets, nailpolish manicure sets, hair driers/curling irons/straighteners, sleep wear, winter accessories, and warm clothing.

For those who are unable to take their donations directly to Tri-Valley Haven (which is located in Livermore) they are welcome to drop off donations to Mueller’s Tri-Valley ATA, located at 37 Wyoming Street in Pleasanton. We will be collecting donations until December 18th. Drop off hours are Tuesday from 3:30 - 7:30pm, Wednesday from 4:00-8:30pm, Thursday from 3:30-6:00pm and Friday from 5:00-7:30pm.
