He was on the leadership team for the marching band at Amador Valley. He enjoyed volunteering at Kids Against Hunger and had many service opportunities through his Boy Scout troop. He also played trumpet in Amador Valley’s Wind Ensemble, which performed at Carnegie hall in New York in 2018 and the Midwest Clinic in Chicago this past December.

This fall he is planning to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of San Diego. One day hoping to start his own company, maybe taking something he’s passionate about and making it more advanced or accessible to other people

For Kyle’s Eagle Scout project, he restored the flatbed trailer for the AVHS Marching Band leading led about 16 volunteers in stripping the rust off the frame, re-painting it, re-wiring it, and replacing the wood boards. It took about 4 days of manual labor and many more in planning and documenting the project.

To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Scout must be active in their troop, demonstrate leadership, earn 21 merit badges including the areas of citizenship, camping, communications, cooking and lifesaving or emergency preparedness as well as demonstrate that they live by the principles of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.

They must also plan, develop and provide leadership in a service project benefiting a religious institution, school or community group.
