Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar Announces Grand Opening Date for Dublin Location

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, an innovator in the upscale casual dining sector known for its from-scratch kitchens and extensive craft beer & cocktail program, will be setting down roots in Dublin with its Grand Opening at Hacienda Crossings on November 10th. This will be the second Bay Area location for the family-run restaurant, which made its entry into the community in Concord in November 2013.

To commemorate its arrival in Dublin, Lazy Dog will host a pre-opening fundraiser with proceeds from its invite-only mock-run events in the days leading up to the Grand Opening benefiting the Dublin Partners in Education (DPIE). The non-profit organization was founded in 1992 to bring local businesses and schools together to raise funds and enhance student experiences in the Dublin Unified School District. DPIE serves over 5,000 students with various programs based on their four pillars of service: Career Skills for Students, Arts Education, Resources for Educators, and Educational Interventions.

After the restaurant officially opens on November 10th, families, friends, and craft beer aficionados can enjoy an al fresco meal on the expansive patio, a brew at the bar during Happy Hour or a leisurely meal with friends. Executive Chef Gabe Caliendoâs menu seamlessly blends modern, globally-inspired flavors with comforting and craveable classics. All dishes, from the Chicken Poblano with crispy tamale cakes to the Black and Bleu Pizzato new fall favorites like the Hatch Chili & Bacon Mac Nâ Cheese and fall-off-the-bone Lamb Shank are thoughtfully composed in Lazy Dogâs from-scratch kitchen with fresh, whole ingredients.
For diners looking for lighter options, Chef Caliendoâs wholesome âNutritious & Deliciousâ menu offers selections like the flavorful Chimichurri Mahi Mahi, Lemon Caper Pasta and Ahi Nicoise Salad that each clock in at 650 calories or less. Kids will also feel at home with âThe Puppy Dog Menuâ including options like the signature Build-Your-Own Pizza and healthful snacks like Steamed Edamame and Sliced Apples to round out their meal. To finish on a sweet note, families and friends will delight in the restaurantâs shareable desserts, including the insta-favorite homemade Butter Cake or Housemade Apple Crumble - a perfect way to indulge this fall.
On the weekends, locals can catch post-season baseball or football games on one of the ÂÂÂnine flatscreen TVâs outfitting the bar and patio while enjoying brunch sweets and savories including the Wild Blueberry Pancakes & Maple Bacon Butter or the new Breakfast Clubsandwich complete with a fried egg, crispy bacon, sliced avocado and melted cheddar all served on a housemade buttermilk biscuit. Daytime libations include Lazy Dogâs Hair of theDog Bloody Mary made with housemade Bloody Mary Mix and Sangria Samplers, along with Mimosas and Bellinis - all available for $5 until 2 pm during football season.
Equal attention is paid to Lazy Dogâs full beverage program that includes unique and approachable specialty cocktails like their Seasonal Iced Rum Chai Tea Latte, âStraight Up Martinisâ like the Cucumber & Mint, and âClean Cocktailsâ that feature low calorie offerings made with all natural ingredients like the Coconut Mojito. A wide selection of local craft beers include suds from Northern California breweries such as Lagunitas, North Coast, Heretic, and Schubros as well as Lazy Dogâs own collaboration brews with Golden Road Brewing that reflect Simms and home-brewer Chef Caliendoâs shared passion for craft beer. The restaurantâs expansive bar will be equipped with 30 beers on tap as well as approximately 20 hand-selected beers by the bottle.
The design of the 7800 square-foot restaurant that embodies the aesthetic of the Rocky Mountains where the Simms spend part of every year, invites guests in with warm accents like cozy fireplaces and a chandelier crafted from Aspen logs. The generous use of real ledge stone, and fabric- and leather-lined booths and chairs featuring rich hues of chocolate and rust further accentuate the welcoming, lodge-like atmosphere that inspired the restaurantâs founding in 2003. The adjacent 1200 square-foot patio offers ample seating and fire pits to cozy up as the weather cools down.
The restaurant, which has generated 200 jobs for locals in the area, is located at 4805 Hacienda Drive at Hacienda Crossings, and will be open from 11 am â 12 am, Monday âSaturday; and 10 am â 12 am on Sundays. Brunch will be available until 2 pm on Saturdayand Sunday, and Happy Hour offered from 3 pm â 6 pm, Monday â Friday, and again from9 pm until 12 am, Sunday â Thursday.
