Leaky Gut = Leaky Brain

Your gut serves as your second brain. Did you know your gut produces more serotonin than your brain? Serotonin is known to have a beneficial influence on your mood. It is also home to countless bacteria, both good and bad. These bacteria outnumber the cells in your body by at least ten to one. Maintaining the ideal balance of good and bad bacteria forms the foundation for good health—physical, mental and emotional. Most disease originates in your digestive system. This includes both physical and mental disease. Once you heal your digestive system so it works properly again, disease symptoms will typically resolve. Bad gut means bad brain. Leaky gut leads to leaky brain. If you feel bloated, tired, sluggish and have brain fog => stop eating gluten (bread and pasta), stop most dairy products (especially milk), and monitor your food combinations (don't eat fruit after protein).
