Letter to Editor: Resident Believes in Herb Ritter for Pleasanton City Council

Pat Mayfield admires Ritter's leadership ability.

Dear Editor,

I’m voting for Herb Ritter for Councilman and here’s why:

I like Herb because he’s authentic, trustworthy and has a heart as big as his smile. He’s a natural leader who inspires and makes things happen.

When I asked Herb why he was running for office, he smiled and said, “Because I love Pleasanton – all of Pleasanton, and I want to make a difference.”

I believe him. He has a proven track record for making a difference on Pleasanton Commissions and Committees. Ten years’ worth! He’s currently the Chair of the Planning Commission and formerly the Chair of the Parks and Recreation Commission and of the Trails Committee.

He’s also a great family man and a standup guy. He’s probably worn out shoes this fall walking neighborhoods so he can meet as many citizens as possible. Why? Because Herb genuinely cares about what we think.

I admire his leadership ability. In community service, he led the Pleasanton North Rotary Club to International recognition for growth in one year. Amazing accomplishment! I was on the board that year and witnessed his leadership skills firsthand. And the scoreboard you see at the Foothill Stadium? Herb led the Booster’s team that made that happen, too.

Yes, I’m voting for Herb and hope you do, too. Check out www.herbritter.com.
