Livermore Man Arrested on Suspicion of Hit-And-Run in Pleasanton
Police officials said the suspect fled on foot following the crash and was found in the backyard of a nearby home.

Police arrested a 22-year-old Livermore man after a citizen reported a hit-and-run collision in the area of First and Neal streets Thursday evening. According to a statement released by police, a witness called the police at 11:14 p.m. to report that the driver of a white Toyota pickup exited the vehicle and fled on foot toward Second Street following the crash.
Officers in the area soon found a man on Kottinger, between First and Second streets, who matched the suspect description given by the witness. Police said the man, later identified as Livermore resident Erick Tornero, was bleeding from a head injury on his forehead.
“As officers attempted to stop and detain Tornero, he fled eastbound Kottinger on foot,” police officials said. “Tornero began hopping fences and a perimeter was established. Tornero was located in the rear yard of a residence in the 4100 block of Vineyard Avenue.”
