Livermore-Pleasanton Firefighters Deployed To Mendo Complex Fire
The deadly Mendocino Complex Fire, which has burned more than 366,000 acres, is the largest fire in California's history.
PLEASANTON, CA — Four Livermore-Pleasanton firefighters are among a group of firefighters on the Alameda County Type 3 Strike Team deployed this week to help battle the Mendocino Complex Fire. Firefighters from Alameda County, Oakland and Fremont departments are also part of the team. The team will be deployed for at least a week.
The deadly Mendocino Complex Fire, which has burned more than 366,000 acres, is the largest fire in California’s history. Nearly 150 homes have been destroyed since the Mendo Complex Fire first broke out July 27. The cause remains under investigation.
