Loaded Gun, Fake IDs Found Inside Stolen Car Following Chase: PPD
Pleasanton police tried to pull over a car reported stolen on Wednesday, and a chase on 680 ensued.
PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police found a loaded, unregistered gun and several fake ID’s inside a stolen vehicle, the department said in a social media post.
Officers say that on Wednesday, they spotted a stolen car driving through Pleasanton and attempted a traffic stop. The car did not stop, and a brief pursuit ensued on I-680. The car eventually pulled over, and officers say they found a loaded, unregistered Glock 19 hidden under the driver’s seat, along with several fake IDs.
Both people in the car were arrested and booked at Santa Rita Jail, and the car was returned to the registered owner in good condition. No further information was given on the two suspects.
