Local Scouts Collect Food and Clothing for Charity

The Annual Scouting for Food drive assists Food Banks and community centers

This past weekend local scouts and families of five Cub Packs and five Scout Troops participated in Scouting for Food! Nearly 1,600 food items and 8 shopping carts of clothing were collected, sorted and donated to our local food bank and community centers.

What a wonderful opportunity this was to aid families, work together, engage in supporting our community and assist in Christlike compassion and service! Thanks to all the scouts, leaders and families for your hard work, donations and support!

This was part of the effort of the entire Twin Valley District, which covers Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin. Scouting for Food is a nationwide community service project of the Boy Scouts of America.
