Man Robbed, Carjacked At Stoneridge ATM

The vehicle was recovered in Livermore, but the perpetrator is still at large.

PLEASANTON, CA – A man using a Pleasanton ATM was robbed and carjacked Thursday morning, and while the stolen vehicle was found in Livermore, the suspect remains at large, according to police.

The victim told officers that at about 11:30 a.m. he withdrew cash from a bank ATM on Stoneridge Mall Road and as he walked to his car, he was approached from behind by a male, who "threatened him" and demanded his personal property and car keys and then drove off in his vehicle, the Pleasanton Police Department said.

The suspect, described as a white adult, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 185 pounds, was wearing gray sweatpants and a black, long-sleeve turtleneck, police said.

The vehicle's GPS system allowed Pleasanton police, along with Livermore Police Department officers, to track and find the vehicle in a Livermore neighborhood, the department said.

When found, the vehicle was unoccupied and despite a search of the area, the suspect was not located, police said.
