PLEASANTON, CA — Pleasanton police are searching for two suspects involved in a fatal stabbing that occurred Monday morning. As of Tuesday afternoon, police have not reported capturing any suspects.

A man died at around 10:30 a.m. after he was stabbed during an attempted robbery, according to a Pleasanton Police Department news release.

The robbery took place in an apartment complex on the 5700 block of Owens Drive, police said. A witness told police they saw two men in ski masks running from the apartment. No suspects have been publicly identified as of Tuesday morning.

Police said Monday they believe this is an isolated incident with no threat to the public.

Anyone with information is asked to call the PPD’s tipline at 925-931-5107.

The stabbing occurred just a day after two suspects were accused of robbing a victim at gunpoint in Livermore, and less than two weeks after a Pleasanton Home Depot employee was fatally shot while attempting to prevent shoplifting.
