Man Stabbed in Front of Pleasanton Laundromat

Pleasanton Police officials say a man in his 20s was stabbed several times yesterday evening in front of a laundromat in Pleasant Plaza on First Street.
Residents reported seeing blood on a nearby car in the parking lot of Plaza Speed Wash following the incident. Portions of the ValleyCare Medical Center emergency room parking lot was taped off with crime scene tape due to police activity soon after, according to another resident.

At 6:03 P.M. this evening patrol officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the parking lot of the Plaza Speed Wash, located at 4241 First St. While enroute officers learned that the victim, a male in his 20’s, had already been transported to a local hospital emergency room by a relative.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim had likely been involved in some type of dispute with another male, which led to the suspect stabbing the victim several times upon his upper body. The suspect fled the scene and no associated vehicle was seen. The victim is currently being treated at a local hospital.

His wounds are serious but do not appear to be life-threatening. The victim was unable to provide a detailed description of the suspect. However, the Pleasanton Police Department is actively pursuing investigative leads. Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation, additional details are not being released at this time.
