Marie Stapleton named President of the Pleasanton Community of Character
Marie Stapleton has been a resident of Pleasanton for 23 years, is a prior recipient of the Community of Character’s Juanita Haugen Award and a current board member for the Community of Character Collaborative. Marie retired from a career in engineering and marketing leadership in the high-tech industry to raise her three kids in Pleasanton. Since then, Marie has volunteered for such roles as: board member of the Pleasanton Mothers Group, PTA President at Vintage Hills, Music Boosters President at PMS, Amador Friends of Music Board Member and volunteer, Festival Chair for the Campana Jazz Festival and currently serves as Board President for Futures Explored, an East Bay non-profit that provides programs for adults with disabilities.
Marie and her husband, Padraig, both originally from Ireland, decided to settle in Pleasanton because the community and its values were something they strongly believed in and knew that raising their kids there would put them on the right path for building their own lives.
