Meet Pleasanton Police Department’s Newest Officers

The police department hosted a swearing-in ceremony this week to celebrate four promotions and to welcome the new employees.

PLEASANTON, CA — Three new officers have officially joined the Pleasanton Police Department. Officers Katie Emmett, Chris Jones and Agatha Socha recently graduated from the South Bay Regional Public Safety Training Academy and were sworn in this week.

Jones — whose father is a retired Pleasanton officer and whose mother recently retired as a dispatcher — and Emmett, both graduated from Amador Valley High School. Socha grew up in San Francisco and Poland. The trio will hit the streets after successfully completing a rigorous four-month training program.

The police department also promoted two officers to the rank of sergeant and two sergeants to the rank of lieutenant. Sergeants Brandon Stocking and Erik Silacci were promoted to the rank of police lieutenant and officers Marty Billdt and Chris Lewellyn were promoted to the rank of police sergeant.
