Motorcycle Officer Makes Ill Boy's Wish Come True

Six-year-old Eli is recovering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and a celebration was held for him on Main Street in Pleasanton. SEE VIDEO

PLEASANTON, CA – Eli, "an amazing 6-year-old boy with the best laugh" who is recovering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, had a wish and law enforcement was happy to comply, the Pleasanton Police Department said.

"Make-A-Wish America told us that Eli wanted to see us as part of his wish," the agency said.

His wish was granted and Eli, who loves race cars and the "Cars" movie, was surprised in downtown Pleasanton with the chance so see several Ferraris, a trip to Disneyland and to meet a Pleasanton motorcycle officer.

"A lot of Eli's life has been spent in treatment, and this is his first summer being able to swim and do normal 'kid' things," police said, adding "We have no doubt he'll have the best time at Disney. Say hi to Mickey for us Eli."
