Motorcyclist Recovering After Friday Night Crash In Pleasanton

The 22-year-old Castro Valley resident is in stable condition after crashing into a power pole near Dublin Canyon and Laurel Creek.

PLEASANTON, CA — A motorcyclist found unconscious after crashing Friday night into a power pole in Pleasanton is recovering in the hospital, police say.

The 22-year-old Castro Valley resident was taken to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley after he crashed shortly before 5 p.m. near Dublin Canyon Road and Laurel Creek Drive, officials said.

The rider was said to be in stable condition, recovering in the hospital, as of yesterday, said Sgt. Benjamin Sarasua of the Pleasanton Police Traffic Unit. The investigation is still in its preliminary stages and the motorcyclist has not yet been interviewed.

Law enforcement remained on scene about five hours after the crash, redirecting drivers heading down Dublin Canyon, interviewing witnesses and taking images of the scene with the help of Alameda County Sheriff's Office drones, Sarasua said.
