New Bishopric in Pleasanton LDS Congregation
Brian Black named as new Bishop in the Pleasanton 4th Ward

The Pleasanton California Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the calling of a new bishopric for the Pleasanton 4th Ward congregation. This is one of six Mormon congregations in the cities of Pleasanton and Dublin. The new bishop is Brian Black with Bryan Fisher as 1st Counselor and Jon Eric Thalman as 2nd Counselor. Bishop Stan Lerch and his counselors Mike Williams and Bryan Fisher were released and received an expression of gratitude for their years of service.
The church operates with a lay ministry where leaders and members serve without pay. Bishop Black is a Marketing Manager for Linear Technology Corporation. He and his wife Stephanie are the parents of five children. Bryan Fisher is a Supply Chain Project Leader for Apple, Inc. He and his wife Jackie have four children. Jon Eric Thalman is a Senior Manager, Director Regulatory Strategy & Transmission Asset Management with P.G. & E. He and his wife Vicki have two children.
Bishop Black and his counselors, with the support of their wives and children, will lead a congregation of approximately 400 members and help them increase their commitment to our Savior Jesus Christ, strengthen their families and serve their fellowmen.
