New Citizens to Take Oath of Allegiance During Naturalization Ceremony
The event will be held at the Pleasanton Library.

Pleasanton, CA — More than two dozen new citizens will take the Oath of Allegiance during a naturalization ceremony in Pleasanton later this month. Officials with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will administer the oath to the group. The majority of the new citizens are Pleasanton residents.
The ceremony will be held at the Pleasanton Public Library on July 22 at 11 a.m. Mayor Jerry Thorne and local dignitaries are expected to attend the ceremony.

“One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned over the years, and particularly as Mayor, is that it is important to embrace and celebrate our diversity," Mayor Jerry Thorne said. "The people who come here and work hard to gain citizenship are from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures that enrich this community. And I applaud their efforts and look forward to celebrating their success."
The event is open to the public.
