Newlywed Tax Tips and Planning

If you are a newlywed, your tax-filing status has changed and there are a number of steps you need to take to make a smooth transition for tax purposes. Combined incomes may throw you into a higher tax bracket, and your usual refund could be lower, or may even be a tax due.

You also need to notify the Social Security Administration, the IRS, and your employer of any address and name changes.
