Officers Shave Their Heads In Support Of Cancer-Stricken Cop
Friends and family are rallying to support Kyle Henricksen of Pleasanton PD, who is battling pancreatic cancer.
PLEASANTON, CA — Police officers, employees and volunteers Thursday shaved their heads in support of a young police officer battling a rare cancer. Cosmo Panetta, owner of Pleasanton’s iconic Cosmo’s Barber Shop, helped with the "Cuts for Kyle" haircuts, according to police.
After more than a decade of protecting and serving residents in Pleasanton, police officer Kyle Henricksen, 35, was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer, which has metastasized to his stomach lining. Since his diagnosis, co-workers, friends and family have rallied to support Henricksen and his family.
“We continue to support Officer Henricksen in every way we can,” police said via social media. “A couple of weeks ago when he decided it was time to shave his head due to treatment, we followed suit.”
