Open Heart Kitchen's program runs through December at 6140 Stoneridge Mall Road in Pleasanton.
Press release from Open Heart Kitchen:
Open Heart Kitchen’s food distribution of grocery care packages is open for five more weeks and has moved to a new location at 6140 Stoneridge Mall Road in Pleasanton, behind the Workday building. The grocery distribution had been operating at the Alameda County Fairgrounds since June 2020 and managed by Open Heart Kitchen since November 2020 in partnership with Tri-Valley Haven and the Alameda County Community Food Bank.
The free groceries are given out via drive-thru curbside pickup every Tuesday and Thursday, from 9 am to 3 pm. Those who are picking up groceries are asked to follow the directional signs, answer intake questions, and then the groceries will be placed in the trunk of the vehicle.

“The families and individuals who come to us are facing challenging times, and we expect an increase in needing food to intensify during the holidays. We are especially grateful that we can provide extra help in the weeks to come,” said Shawnda Bost, Program Manager. The food distribution is funded through December by the Alameda County Social Services Agency and the cities of Pleasanton, Livermore, and Dublin also provided funding.
To date, Open Heart Kitchen has served over 3,300 households and the equivalent of 1.54 million meals through the free grocery distribution. For the most up-to-date information on where to obtain a meal, please visit openheartkitchen.org.
