Vehicle Hits Pedestrian on Gibraltar Drive

A vehicle hit a pedestrian in the entrance to the parking lot near the 1st United Credit Union at about 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The pedestrian has non-life threatening injuries and the driver was not hurt, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

Hazardous 1600 Pound Battery Acid Spill on Wyoming Street

A 1600 pound commercial battery had fallen over during transport and was leaking acid onto the road on Friday afternoon. Firefighters crated a dam to stop the flow of battery acid into the storm drain. Read the full story here.

VIDEO: Native American Performance at School International Fair


Students at Lydiksen Elementary in Pleasanton were able to take a trip around the world without leaving the campus during the annual International Fair on campus Tuesday. An 11-year-old student visiting from Livermore's Altamonte Creek Elementary performed a traditional Native American "Southern Fancy Dance" for the crowd. Watch the video here.

Foothill High boys basketball assistant coach Wardell Jefferson-Collins had kidney transplant surgery after having double kidney failure last year. A student organized a shoot-a-thon fundraiser for the Foothill High basketball team that took place on Saturday.
