Pleasanton City Council Election: Who's In, Who's Not
In the Nov. 2 election, two seats on the Pleasanton City Council will be determined and a mayor will be elected.
Candidates have until Aug. 6 to complete their paperwork. There are two potential challengers so far for vying City Council seats against incumbents Jerry Thorne and Cheryl Cook-Kallio.
Meanwhile, current Councilwoman Cindy McGovern prepares to run for the mayor against incumbent Jennifer Hosterman.

- Jerry Thorne: First elected 2005. Elected to his first full-term in 2006 and has served as Vice Mayor. More information can be found on his campaign website.
- Cheryl Cook-Kallio: Elected to first term in 2006. Says she will run for re-election. More information can be found here.
- Jennifer Hosterman: First elected to the City Council in 2002. Was elected Mayor in 2004 and re-elected in 2006 and 2008. She said she will run again and has started the process for filing her candidacy papers. More information can be found here.
