Pleasanton Coffee Shop Owner Wants Her Sign Back
The sign was stolen overnight from Coffee Ali's and the small business owner is hoping someone will bring it back.

Pleasanton caffeine seekers heading to grab their cup of java may have missed Coffee Ali's trademark "Coffee to Wake the Dead" sign usually posted on the corner of Bernal and Tawny this morning. Ali Frey, the owner of Coffee Ali's, says that is because someone stolen the sign overnight sometime between 7 p.m. and 5:45 a.m.
Frey has filed a police report with the Pleasanton Police Department. Frey says this is not the first time her property has been stolen. According to Frey, when she first opened, her tables and chairs were also stolen during the night.
Frey wrote, via email:
"As a small business owner it's hard enough and for someone to steal your stuff it's hard. When I first opened I left my tables and chairs out front and those were stolen as well. I know it's my own fault for leaving it out there, just bummed."
Frey really just wants her sign back and is asking anyone with information to call Pleasanton Police.
On the Coffee Ali Facebook page, Frey posted the following status update:
Remember this sign?
Well it no longer exists out front. :/ someone decided to pick it up and take it home for themselves. If anyone saw or sees this sign please don't hesitate to call Pleasanton PD. This isn't the first time that something from Coffee Ali has been stolen. Come cheer up Ali today get some of her Amazing Brew! Thanks a latte folks!
