Pleasanton Collision Causes Car To Flip Over, Hit Electric Pole: PPD

The driver was freed using hydraulic tools and no life-threatening injuries were reported.

PLEASANTON, CA — A silver sedan crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an oncoming SUV on Dublin Canyon Road in Pleasanton last week, the Pleasanton Police Department reported.

The collision caused the SUV to flip over and hit a nearby electric pole. However, crews from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and CHP Dublin were able to free the driver from the car using hydraulic tools. Parties were transported to the hospital, and no life-threatening injuries were reported, according to the PPD.

A head-on collision in unincorporated Livermore on Thanksgiving had deadly consequences. A driver switched over double lines into the next lane in order to pass a vehicle, then crashed head-on with an oncoming car, killing the passenger.
