Pleasanton Country Club Worker Tests Positive For The Coronavirus
The club said it does not believe the asymptomatic maintenance worker interacted with any members.
PLEASANTON, CA â A Castlewood Country Club maintenance worker tested positive for COVID-19, according to an email members received Friday.
The worker was asymptomatic and last worked on the grounds Sunday, said General Manager John Vest in the email. The club does not believe the worker interacted with members and is working to identify any other employees the worker came into contact with.
The club will sanitize the maintenance building, and sanitize and set aside the golf cart he used for 48 hours, he told Patch.

The maintenance crew works in a more isolated space, so Vest believes his contact with other workers was somewhat limited. People who interacted with the worker must get tested.
The sick worker may return to work after quarantining for 14 days and receiving a negative test.

In the mean time, Castlewood continues to give staff temperature checks upon arrival at work and requires them to perform self-assessments to check for COVID-19 symptoms before work, Vest said.
Castlewood announced in March that a sick member had tested positive for the coronavirus after playing in the St. Patrick's Scramble Golf Tournament and having lunch at the upscale Veranda restaurant.
Alameda County reported 146 Pleasanton residents had tested positive for COVID-19 as of Thursday, the most recent day for which statistics are available. Livermore has had 261 cases and Dublin has had 76 cases.
