Pleasanton Launches Energy and Water Conservation Program for Mobile Homes
Pleasanton has teamed up with City's Housing Rehabilitation program, PG&E, California Youth Energy Services, Synergy Corporation, and Zone 7 Water Agency to help mobile homeowners.

The recently launched a comprehensive energy and water conservation program specifically designed for mobile homes. The City has partnered with various agencies to provide free and low-cost services and equipment to make these homes more energy and water efficient.
Ultimately, the residents will be more comfortable and the installed measures should reduce their utility bills significantly. Pleasanton’s two primary mobile home parks accommodate more than 350 mobile homes, with a primarily senior constituency.

Covered measures may include HVAC tune-ups or replacement, window repair or replacement, toilet replacement and installation, water pressure check, leak detection, kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators, high-efficiency shower heads, hot water pipe insulation, light bulb replacement, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, accessibility improvements, and more.
The program is a collaboration of the City’s Housing Rehabilitation program, PG&E, California Youth Energy Services, Synergy Corporation, and Zone 7 Water Agency. Two workshops have been held to inform local residents about the program and to schedule appointments.
