Pleasanton Launches Small Business Support Fund: Coronavirus
The $3 million Business Support Fund seeks to help small businesses in Pleasanton through no-interest loans up to $2,500.
PLEASANTON, CA — The City of Pleasanton is offering no-interest, unsecured, short-term loans up to $2,500 to small businesses struggling amid the new coronavirus pandemic.
According to the city, business may be eligible for a loan through Pleasanton's $3 million Business Support Fund if they meet the following criteria:
- Are either a micro-business with 2 to 10 or employees or a restaurant/retailer with 20 or fewer employees;
- Paid a City of Pleasanton 2020 business license tax by March 1;
- Can prove they lost revenue/income greater than 25 percent due to the pandemic; and
- Can prove that they tried to secure federal/state resources/assistance.
Repayment of the loan will begin on the first day of the month after the local coronavirus emergency declaration is lifted, the city said.
