Pleasanton Offices Close Amid Stay In Place Order
Only essential services will be open for the next three weeks, the city said.

PLEASANTON, Calif.---In accordance with Alameda County Public Health Department’s
order to shelter in place until April 7, 2020, effective immediately the City of Pleasanton
offices will be closed to the public with the exception of essential services.

Alameda County, along with Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, and
Marin counties have all ordered a shelter in place to slow the spread of COVID-19 across
the entire Bay Area.
The City of Pleasanton’s essential services include police, fire, Paratransit service to
medical appointments and grocery store only, Open Heart Kitchen’s Senior Lunch program
by brown bag pick-up only, Spectrum Community Services’ Meals on Wheels, and some
maintenance and protection of City assets and activities.

There will be limited City services and staff available to assist with:
• Utility billing via phone at (925) 931-5500 from 7:30am-3:30pm or through SEW
online portal. Utility billing drop box locations will also be available in front of 3333
Busch Road and 200 Old Bernal Avenue.
• Permits for emergencies relating to health and safety associated with sewer, water
or utilities by calling (925) 931-5650 between 8:00am-5:00pm.
• Building inspections for emergencies relating to health and safety by calling (925)
931-5650 between 8:00am-5:00pm.
• Life threatening emergencies call 9-1-1, and for non-emergencies call (925) 931-
5100.
“We must all do our part in slowing the spread of COVID-19 within our own communities
and across the region," said city manager Nelson Fialho. “Limiting City services will help
maintain public health and safety of our residents and employees.”
