PLEASANTON, CA — A local artist was reunited with his stolen iPad via the "Find My" app, after it was swiped from a vehicle in Pleasanton and turned up in Las Vegas, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.

The iPad, that contained "a large amount of artwork," was taken July 23 from a vehicle in a Pleasanton parking lot, officials said.

"The victim is an artist from San Leandro, and for weeks, they helped our detectives by using the 'Find My' app which was still active," the department said.
