Pleasanton Road Reopens After Investigation
Northbound lanes around Hopyard Road were closed Thursday morning to investigate a Monday traffic accident.

PLEASANTON, CA — All northbound lanes of Hopyard Road at Stoneridge Drive were closed Thursday morning to investigate a Monday morning accident, the Pleasanton Police Department said.
The closure began at 7 a.m. and is expected to take several hours, and reopened around noon.
Pleasanton police are investigating a two-car collision that occurred Monday at around 7 a.m. at Hopyard Road and Clorox Way, where a car sideswiped another vehicle and caused it to crash. The driver and passenger of the vehicle were transported to Eden Hospital with critical injuries, while the other driver was uninjured and remained on-scene, the PPD said.

Pleasanton police are investigating what caused the collision, including whether alcohol and/or drugs were a factor.
