The mother of three, who goes by the name Nora, told KRON the anti-viral medicine given to her daughter, who was suffering from the flu, brought on the visual hallucinations. In order to protect her daughter’s identity, Nora asked reporters not to use her last name.

"I would say this was a psychotic episode type hallucinations. It was very scary and very real to her. She just was crying and was saying she was seeing things in the room and that the room was closing in on her," Nora said in a interview with KRON.

Nora discontinued giving her daughter the medication and warned other parents about possible side effects of the powerful anti-viral.
