West Coast gymnasts win at annual invitational

Girls gymnastics teams competed in the 2012 Spring Break meet.

The Pleasanton West Coast Olympic Gymnastics Academy Girls Bronze Team finished in first place at the 5th Annual Spring Break Invitational held April 29, in Vallejo. They won with a top score of 139.850.  Coaches Maria Arzimanoglou, Briana Eastus and Laura Jones were praised for their outstanding work in coaching the young gymnasts to victory. 

"They continue to inspire the girls to do their best at all times while having fun and supporting each other," said Pleasanton resident and grandmother of gymnast Kayla Robertson. 

Eight-year-old Robertson, a Pleasanton resident who has been taking gymnastic lessons for four years, competed on the academy's Bronze Excel Team (younger division), and took third place in the individual All Around, with a score of 9.150.
