Power Outage Affects 3,278 Homes in Pleasanton
An outage was reported along Hopyard Road, from Black Avenue and Pleasanton Avenue. Power was also out along Valley Avenue from Hopyard Road to Bernal Avenue.
An equipment failure caused 3,278 homes and businesses to lose power in Pleasanton Tuesday night, according to PG&E spokesperson Jana Morris.
The outage was first reported at 7:21 p.m.
Areas affected included homes and businesses along Hopyard Road, from Black Avenue and Pleasanton Avenue. Lights were also out along Valley Avenue from Hopyard Road to Bernal Avenue. Areas around Rose Avenue were also affected.

At about 9:30 p.m. power was restored to all but 134 homes. Morris said it might take up to eight hours (from the time the outage was reported) before the rest of the homes regain power.
