Every time I drive past a certain corner on Hopyard it wafts towards me senses like the Sirens beckoned Jason and his argonauts.
Ok so I'm a bit over the top... But, I LOVE RIBS!
The RED SMOKE GRILL in the crossroads shopping center at 4501 Hopyard rd. Pleasanton is responsible for being the aphrodisiac that forces me to stop and buy a SLAB of RIB'S...
Now that we here at 'Foodnearu' have partnered with RED SMOKE GRILL, I find myself going there more and more often. I usally order at least two side dishes, cole slaw, potato salad, ranch style beans, etc. pick them up,take em home, and BAM!!! My family has enough for a feast! And the wife loves me extra hard, because she works too, and sometimes she's the one pulling long hours... You all know the name of that tune, it's called "Life..."
Anyway, Ken and Jim at RED SMOKE love what they do obviously, they have been in business at that location for more than ten years (A lifetime in the restaurant world) and their business is stronger than ever. In fact if there is any complaint to be made about RED SMOKE GRILL, it's that the parking lot around it has gotten too small... Parking can be dicey at peak times, and Jim is working on the possibility of doing some sort of curbside pick-up. I mentioned to him yesterday, 'That is a nice problem to have.'
RED SMOKE GRILL is always busy, but I will tell you that the timing nor the service ever suffers because of it. These guys are always on their game, they do their jobs well, they make certain that the staff around them is always professional and courteous, and their food is outstanding!
