Residential Recycled Water Fill Station Open an Additional Day

The fill station is located at 7399 Johnson Drive in Pleasanton.

DUBLIN, CA: The Dublin San Ramon Services District’s (DSRSD) Residential Recycled Water Fill Station is now open three days a week—Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays—from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The fill station is located at 7399 Johnson Drive in Pleasanton.

“As temperatures warm and demand increases, we’ll expand our hours and days open to meet our customers’ needs,” says Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Supervisor Levi Fuller.

Currently, there are 3,622 residential users of recycled water. In 2015, residents hauled 28 million gallons of recycled water to irrigate their landscapes, while commercial truckers hauled 26 million gallons of recycled water mostly to control dust during construction projects.

Recycled water accounted for 26 percent of all water used by DSRSD customers last year. Nearly all—94 percent—was delivered through dedicated purple pipes to parks, school grounds, golf courses, and other large irrigation customers. The commercial and residential pickup programs accounted for only 5 percent of the more than one billion gallons produced in 2015.
