SideTrack Bar + Grill: Gourmet Burgers, Craft Beers, Small Plates

The eatery will also feature salads, sandwiches, and cocktails.

PLEASANTON, CA — A new eatery will open in downtown Pleasanton in October. SideTrack Bar + Grill will be located in the building formerly home to Joy China Cuisine. The restaurant, founded by Todd Utikal and restaurateur Skip Hinsley, will be open for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

The menu will feature gourmet burgers, salads, sandwiches, small plates, milkshakes, craft beer and cocktails.

“I spent the last 20 years as a mortgage advisor but my career really started in the hospitality industry. I was a banquet waiter, bartender on private rail cars, later a cruise director and then managed Stony Ridge Winery restaurant and tasting room,” says Utikal. “It was an industry that I always wanted to go back to and when I met Skip, everything aligned to start making it a reality.”
