Southbound 680 To Close Over The Weekend

A portion of southbound 680 between Sunol Boulevard and Koopman Road will close Friday to Monday for repairs.

The southbound lane of I-680 will close between Sunol Boulevard and Koopman Road from Friday, June 9 at 10 p.m. until Monday, June 12 at 4 a.m. to replace a portion of deteriorating roadway, CalTrans announced.

PLEASANTON, CA — The southbound lane of I-680 will close between Sunol Boulevard and Koopman Road from Friday, June 9 at 10 p.m. until Monday, June 12 at 4 a.m. to replace a portion of deteriorating roadway, CalTrans announced.

This follows the cancellation of a planned closure of a similar stretch of northbound 680, which is being repaved. Numerous planned weekend closures of northbound 680 have been postponed. This weekend’s planned closure may also be postponed in the case of rain or unanticipated developments.

Northbound 680 will remain open Friday through Monday.

Portable changeable message signs will be placed prior to the closure and remain in effect throughout the weekend.
