Special Needs Students Collect Prom Dress Donations for Those in Need
The Pleasanton teens learn vocational skills while giving back to the community.

PLEASANTON, CA: Special needs students at Village High in Pleasanton are currently accepting donations of new or gently used prom dresses and ball gowns. The students will launder, fold and sort the dresses, which will be offered to those in need free of charge– just in time for prom season.
School district officials say the dress drive is part a unique program at the school called 'The Hanger.' Located on the Village High campus, the program is one of the many service projects done during the school year and is designed to teach vocational and life skills to students with disabilities.
Dress donations can be dropped off at the Special Education Office located at 4661 Bernal Ave. anytime between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the week of April 4, donations can be dropped at the front desk of the district office between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
