The Saver’s Credit

For low- and moderate-income workers, the saver’s credit helps offset part of the first $2,000 they voluntarily contribute to IRAs or employer’s qualified retirement plans. It helps individuals who don’t normally have resources to set money aside for their retirement, and is available in addition to other tax benefits associated with retirement plan contributions.
