Total Wine & More Donates Grand Opening Proceeds to Non-Profit in Pleasanton

The national retailer has donated more than $50 million to local and regional charities nationwide to date.

Total Wine & More, America’s largest independent retailer of fine wine, beer and spirits, has announced its partnership with a local non-profit organization in Northern California coinciding with the opening of its new store in Pleasanton.

The retailer will support the Museum on Main for its Grand Opening weekend from Thursday, October 26 through Sunday, October 29.

“Our business plan is centered around supporting the local communities we serve,” says Edward Cooper, Total Wine & More’s Vice President for Public Affairs and Community Relations. During the Grand Opening weekend, 10% of all wine sales generated will be donated directly to the retailer’s non-profit partner, with a minimum donation of $10,000 guaranteed to the organization.

"Donating a percentage of wine sales enables us to give more to the local community, which is always our goal,” Cooper explains. "Total Wine & More has donated more than $50 million in in-kind and monetary donations to local and regional charitable organizations throughout the U.S. since our inception, and we aim to continue to grow these contributions.”

In addition to the charitable donation, Cooper explains that the new Total Wine & More store in Pleasanton will generate additional retail sales tax for the city, bring more than 100 new job opportunities to the region, and offer a vast selection of more than 8,000 wines, 3,000 spirits and 2,500 beers to customers.
