Trail Maintenance Project at Lime Ridge Open Space. April 22 - 24, 2016
Have you ever wondered who helped build or maintain hiking trails in your local and regional parks? That could be YOU!
Join Volunteers for Outdoor California for trail building and camaraderie at beautiful Lime Ridge Open Space, the highest point in Walnut Creek, on April 22 through 24. This project will reroute new trail around steep, deteriorated old steps and provide needed trail repair. Participate for a day or the weekend, with optional camping at the lovely Arbolado Park staging area, Arbolado Drive, off Oak Grove Rd. V-O-Cal provides all food for the weekend, tools, trained crew leaders, organization and great people. On Saturday night there will be socializing and fun. Volunteers for Outdoor California is a respected, experienced volunteer organization which has completed dozens of large scale trail building and improvement projects throughout the greater Bay Area from Sonoma to Big Sur, and from San Francisco to East of Mt. Diablo. Additional details and registration are at www.v-o-cal.org. For photos of our recent projects, please visit https://www.facebook.com/volunteersforoutdoorcalifornia on Facebook.
