"Trees in the Woods": The Writers' Spotlight
Pleasanton 3rd grader, Vania Kasambe, writes a poem about trees and what they can symbolize to us.

Trees in the Woods
Trees in the woods,
Standing up high,
They are all so tall,
They can touch the sky.

Oh how in the night,
They sway in the wind,
You should see them all,
In the moon’s glint.
Every day, every year,
The trees go through a lot,
But they stay upright and glorious,
Because they give it all they’ve got.

When the autumn comes,
The leaves fall down,
And wither all,
On the carpeted ground.
In the cold winter,
When the white snow falls,
The trees are resilient,
And are still so tall.
During the warm spring,
The blossoms are so bright,
You see them in every color,
All just right.
And yet the trees,
Standing so tall,
Watching wind, rain, and sunshine,
They see it all.
