'Ugly Sweater' Holiday Stroll Canceled In Pleasanton
The Pleasanton Downtown Association pulled the plug on Saturday's event due to air quality.

PLEASANTON, CA – Due to unhealthy air conditions in the Tri-Valley, stemming from the smoke drift from Butte County's Camp Fire, the Pleasanton Downtown Association announced today that it is canceling the weekend's Holiday Spirit and Ugly Sweater Stroll.
The annual festive fundraiser was set for Saturday on Main Street with participants, donned in delightfully tacky Christmas sweaters, going from establishment-to-establishment and enjoying cocktails from more than 20 restaurants.
"The health and safety of our event attendees is of utmost concern and the current air conditions provide a risk that we are not willing to take," said Tiffany Cadrette, events and communication manager for the downtown organization.

"This event is a very important fundraiser for our Downtown Association and our efforts to provide economic vitality to our wonderful Downtown," Cadrette said. "Anyone who would like to forgo a refund and consider your ticket purchase as a donation to the Downtown … we truly appreciate your support!"
