Unveiled: The Firehouse Crystal Bell

The bell weighs 400 pounds and was commissioned in honor of local firefighters.

Local philanthropists unveiled a 400-pound public art piece called the “Firehouse Crystal Bell” at the on Saturday.

More than 150 current and retired firefighters from the were on hand to get a first glimpse at the sparking art piece commissioned in their honor by Nancy and Gary Harrington.

The spectacular bell was created by glass artist Jack Storms of Red Bluff, Calif.

Storms was on hand at the unveiling, and referred to the bell as his greatest achievement so far.
