The Tri-Valley Writers 2021 Conference, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Four Points by Sheraton in Pleasanton, focuses on the art and business

The Tri-Valley Writers 2021 Conference, Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Four Points by Sheraton in Pleasanton, focuses on the art and business of writing. It features three tracks: craft, marketing, and self-publishing, with experts in each field leading focused sessions. Bestselling author Rhys Bowen is the keynote speaker. The daylong meeting will run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The biennial Tri-Valley Writers Conference is a great way to network with authors, marketers, and publishing innovators who share a passion for writing. The presenter lineup includes: Cara Black, Matthew Felix, Joey Garcia, Linda Lee, Laurie McLean, Jordan Rosenfeld, and Brooke Warner.

Keynote speaker Rhys’ two historical mystery series have made the New York Times best seller list. She has written the #1 Kindle bestseller In Farleigh Field and the international bestsellers Above the Bay of Angels and The Tuscan Child. In Farleigh Field was nominated for the Edgar Award, and won the Agatha Award for best historical mystery as well as the Macavity and Bruce Alexander Memorial Awards. The Tuscan Child has sold over half a million copies.

She has authored more than forty novels. Her work has won twenty honors, including multiple Agatha, Anthony, and Macavity awards. Her books have been translated into twenty-two languages, and she has fans around the world, including 17,000 Facebook followers. Rhys was born in Bath, England, and educated at London University. Early-bird prices are $120 for CWC members, $150 for non-CWC members, and $80 for students (ages 14-22). Regular registration prices, which apply after September 24, are $150 for CWC members, $180 for non-CWC members, and $80 for students. Seating is limited. Don’t miss out.
